How it started
Archive Detailing started with a kid from South Surrey who could not stop washing cars.
Gurk was studying computer science, on the safe path everyone expected. But every spare hour went somewhere else: polishing paint in the driveway, testing products, chasing that perfect finish on friends' cars and then their friends' cars. The classes felt like someone else's plan. The detailing felt like his.
So he made the call most people talk themselves out of. He left computer science behind, dropped out, and bet everything on the hobby he loved. No backup plan, just a set of tools and a promise to treat every car like it was his own.
Word spread one car at a time. What started as a one man operation out of a driveway grew into a mobile team covering the Lower Mainland and a shop at 17308 48 Ave for ceramic coatings and paint correction. Our technicians are now certified installers for Nasiol and Revivify, and every coating comes with an insurance-backed warranty.
The name says it all. Every car we finish is one we are proud to add to the archive.
